2009 is our 30th Year!

The Golden Apple opened its doors in May of 1979. We've been in several locations, in several cities, but always a resource for parents and teachers. We are celebrating all this year, so watch for events and sales related to our milestone year, starting with our anniversary month of May!

Join us on Saturday April 18th for a fun, hands-on class for kids ages 6-11. Learn to make beautiful paper blooms that you can wrap in ribbon and present to your mom on Mother's Day. Measure G Fundraiser
Tuesday April 28th

The Golden Apple Learning Store is supporting proper funding for education and schools by endorsing Measure G on the June ballot. One big way we are helping out is by donating 20% of our sales on April 28th to the Yes on Measure G campain. If you support this important cause, make sure to stop in on Tuesday April 28th and help make a difference.

Summer Bridge Fund Raiser Month

Did you know the Golden Apple Learning Store is one of the top sellers of Summer Bridge Workbooks in the United States? We hold this position because scores of School Districts and PTAs purchase these books through our web site, taking advantage of our fundraising/early buy special. Earth Day is April 22nd!

There is "hope" for Earth Day this year - and many of our companies are coming out with books and decorations supporting this important educational event! We have some great decorations, and lots of books of ideas for creating art from recyclables and getting kids to care about their environment. As an Enews bonus, we have a free gift for the first 20 customers to ask for our Earth Day Gift - so get moving.

Obama Posters Now Available

Speaking of hope, we have a new President, and every teacher will want to update the Presidents display in their classroom. Besides individual posters of President Obama, there are posters and bulletin board sets featuring all presidents, including President Obama.

What's Older than The Golden Apple?

The Golden Apple is 30 Years old this year. That's really old, and it's hard to think of anything older than us. We're sponsoring a coloring contest this month and next to help us think of things older than us. Kids should draw a picture of something older than 30 years old, wishing the Golden Apple a happy birthday! We'll post entries in the store and announce a winner on May 1st.
